The Weekly Semana‏

April 30, 2012
Ha! Adam officially gave me permission to use his subject line in honor of his being homeness.

Well this week'll be quick, because we're running around pretty busy today, you know, with the whole TRANSFERS!?
That's right folks, there are transfers tomorrow. I'll explaining who's going where and who's coming by telling you all about a little conversation I had with one of the fine Elders of the offices this last Friday.
First, I was on splits with Elder Thomson, from my district, who just finishing training his ''son'' as they call new Elders in the mission, has been called to be District Leader in Xalapa for the last 3 short transfers of his mission. Anyway, so I was on splits with him, enjoying some delcious Little Ceaser's pizza (the sister who was going to feed us...er, give us the food...er whatever that day couldn't do so, so our Relief Society Pres. brought us a couple pizzas =D), when suddenly my phone went off and I saw that it was the Assistant to the President.
So I answered, confused, and the conversation went a little like this...
''Hey! Elder DeFreese, how're you?''
''Good, and you?''
''Good good. Well Elder, the President wanted to give you a call but he's in Mexico City in a leadership training meeting, but we have some news for you.''
''Alright...?''
''Elder DeFreese... It looks like you're pregnant, my friend.'' (remember about how trainers are referred to as ''Dad'' and their trainees as ''son''? =P)
''AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!''

And, that was about the conversation. So yeah, it looks like this transfer I'm going to be training, which means I'll be here in Hidalgo another two transfers, which means I'll end up in the Xalapa mission, because the split happens halfway through the second change I'll be with my new companion. I'm trying not to refer to him as my ''son'', because that sounds demeaning, but it WAS funny the way the Assistant told me I was training. Haha

OH! Also I saw in the transfer plans that Elder Fullmer from my generation is training as well! Woohoo! So I'll being seeing him and many others at the offices tomorrow. We're leaving at 3:50 in the morning for a 5 hour bus ride, so that should be fun. =P

And yeah! Paulina got baptized and confirmed, in other news. We're all really happy about that and ready to get working and all! Woohoo!
So yeah, we're heading out, I have to go, but I love you all a ton.
Elder DeFreese
I'll write more about my new comp. next week. No idea if he's Mexican, American, Chilean, whatevz. We'll see!

1. My new tie that I love. Yeah, it's fresa lookin'. Haha that means ''strawberry'' literally, but it also means like... Fancy/rich.
2. Baptism of Paulina.
3. Something called ChocoFlan that is like a flan cake thing that's SO good that Paulina's mom made for us.
