Well, I have some pretty crazy news...
Our district is being changed
up! Who knows why, but there are what we call ''quick'' or ''weird''
changes, and Elder Eastmond is leaving the district to go to Los
Tuxtlas, and thus to continue in the Veracruz side of the mission split,
so we won't be seeing each other again for a pretty long time, which is
sad. But yeah, I just got called with that news, so it's pretty nuts.
Hum... Now I'm all unfocused on other news. Well, firstly tell
Jeremy congrats and that he'll have a blast in Mexico and he'll enjoy
the tortillas and tacos and stuff. There is some really good food I've
heard about there, and the people and mission is great in general.
Anyway though, as far as it's gone this week with proselitizing
(yes, I know that's bad english, thanks), things have been good. We had
interviews with President Treviño on Thursday and he gave us a pep-talk
as well which helped us get excited to work super hard and get some
baptizing going, so in true spirit of that, we got Orlando confirmed
yesterday and this Saturday we'll be baptizing the son of Gloria, the
lady with the empanadas that I told you all about a week or two ago. As
well, we might be baptizing a girl named Yesenia this Saturday. She
passed her baptismal interview but needs permission from her mom still
to be baptized, and her mom is a little bit... strong willed... about
not allowing anything happen as far as baptism goes. But we're going
forward with faith, prayers, lots of study, and hoping to catch her mom
outside for a bit to talk to her about it one of these days this week.
The thing is, she never leaves the house except to work, and when
she gets home and we go over, Yesenia tries to get her mom to come out
to talk to us but she says that she's ''not interested in ANYTHING we
have to say, and that none of it matters to her, and that she'll never
give Yesenia permission to be baptized''. But we'll let you all know how
that goes when we send you her picture in white next Monday, alright?
=P
Other than that, there's this couple we're teaching named Fernando
and Melisa, and they're both really good. The other night we watched the
20 minute movie of The Restoration with them, and at the end when
Joseph's dad is baptized, Melisa was crying and her husband was just
smiling and holding her hand. They're a really great couple and they
already talk about bearing testimony up front in sacrament meeting and
all that, but Melisa is just finishing her studies to be a doctor and
she studies on Sunday. However, her last class was yesterday, so she and
her husband will be going this Sunday to be baptized on the 16th of
June!
And yeah, we're just seeing a lot of possibilities opening up and
we're working hard to get everything we can done in our short time we
have here.
Well, that's all for now I think, love you all a
lot! Shout out to Jeff, Drew, and Jared in their respective missions,
¡échenle ganas, Élderes!

1. This evil
dog that tries to kill us every time we pass it on the street. Pay
attention to the fact that at this very moment it is eating the fence,
when it would rather be eating my face.
2. The district fighting it out with our light saber spoons that we get from Zucaritas (frosted flakes).
3. A giant burger from Bufalo. A burger place here.
4. I couldn't finished it, so my cube shaped buddy chipped in. =)
5. Today we did service at a brother's house painting his walls, I'm pretty pro now, just so y'all know. =P
