The Weekly Semana

August 27, 2012
Alright, well this week'll be quick, and you'll see why with the pictures!

So yeah, this week has been good, we've been having lots of good experiences and it's been a little nuts but I've liked it here so far!

This week I was in a different area the majority of the time but it was good and I'll explain why. Well, I had to do a baptismal interview for the Elders of Pinal (where I was before, remember? =P), and taking advantage of the fact that it's really far and it'd be easier to go in splits, we went on splits on Thursday after weekly planning to kill* two birds with one stone.
Well, then it turned out that in the afternoon their investigator sent us a message saying that she couldn't do it until Friday at about 4 or 5 pm, so we extended the splits until (supuestamente) 4 or 5 pm, right? Wrong! She sent yet another message super late at about 7 pm (we'd been trying to call her for hours and checking other investigators at the same time) saying that she couldn't do it until Saturday afternoon, so at 7:30 more or less I went back to my area with Elder Colmenares, we got there at about 10 minutes to 9, went home and planned for the next day, and the next day we went to Altotonga to work a couple hours (about 30 minutes away from San Juan), ate at 2, and then were heading back to Pinal to do splits AGAIN to not leave my area unatended.
Those who are returned missionaries understand that last minute ditching out on Saturday afternoon appointments with investigators that we want to be in church the next day is a very bad idea.
So anyway, that's what we did, but she sent another message as we were about to take a bus to her house (about an hour from Teziutlán) that she was going to be late. So, we called her and told her we'd be there at 7. She said that was fine, and we did that, but she got home later and the interview was finally done at about 7:30, and we got back to our area (advising the Zone Leaders of course) at about 10:15 at night for all the buses we had to take to get there.
So yeah, it was an interesting week.
Anyway though, today we made lasagna with the district for my companion, who turns 19 this Thursday. Yeah, it's weird that he's younger than Jord. Haha but anyway, it's all good. Gotta go write the President and get my scriptures at the house for some proselytin'! =P
Love you all!
